I vowed I would work at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue way back in the 80s - when I worked as a waiter across the road in a café.
It actually happened.
Loved being on the West End again. Great show. Great cast and crew and band. Perfect director in Rufus Norris (now heading up the National Theare of Great Britain no less.)
This was a show that made you feel proud to walk out on stage. Ten of the happiest months of my London life. Loved having my own dressing room (read: city office with a bed in it) smack bang in the middle of town.
