THE INVISIBLE MAN
Based on H.G. Wells' novel, this splintered music hall of a play was my second show for the esteemed Menier Chocolate Factory in London. (It's smallish, but perfectly Tony Award-winning.)We had amazing visual effects by Paul Kieve (who was getting the musical 'Ghost' together at the time). And I got naked on stage for the first time. Yep. I played Naked Dead Guy Hanging From Door early in the piece, before playing four characters with about 18 accents during the rest of this gothic little number.
Our Invisible Man was John Gordon Sinclair - Gregory from indie hit Gregory's Girl (1981). U.K. Sondheim legend Maria Freidman also starred.
